Missions Office - ‘Old World’ faux finnish

     I was excited to get the chance to Faux finish a Mission Pastor’s office. We painted opposing walls with two shades of golden beige. The two color shades did not change at the corner, but on a zig-zag line. This line was also accented with a darker pin-stripe. Then the whole wall was glazed with gel stain to create an old ’sepia’ look. We then had a large map wallpapered to the wall. I painted a ‘Compass Rose” on the wall with the Southern point elongated to suggest a Cross. This was to symbolize the Gospel going to the ends of the earth.

Update Painting on Front Door in Arlington, Texas

My friends wanted to update their old stained front door. The door was badly weathered and had dog scratches on the wood and glass. They put new privacy glass in the door. I filled the scratches  and primed the door twice to bring it back to life. I then painted the door with colors to accent the entry and coordinate with the exterior.
